Entry requirements

1. The competition is to crown the winner of Miss Yosakoi 2025.  It is open to all single females aged 16 - 35 years old of any nationality.

2. Contestants must be over 16 years of age at the time of the competition.  Contestants younger than 18 require parental consent.  

3. Contestants are required to attend the compulsory photo-shoot at Gurney Plaza.  Semi-finalists will be required to come for Round 2 of kimono dressing and photoshoot. There are no further charges for Round 2 or Finals.

4. Contestants understand that their photo taken at the photo-shoot will be uploaded onto social media sites for Gurney Plaza, Penang Yosakoi, Pink Hibiscus, MBPP and any other State government organisations or departments as permission given by the organisers.

5. There will be 5 titles to be won - Miss Yosakoi, Miss Kimono,  Miss Sakura, Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.  Contestants can win only one title. 

6. All Winners will be required to attend the Press Conferences and events when asked, as well as the actual Yosakoi event.  Failure to attend either event shall disqualify her from her title.

7. The newly crowned Miss Yosakoi is required and agrees to be featured in marketing campaigns for the Yosakoi events.

8. All decisions of the judges are final.
