TYPES OF KIMONO & PRICE
All kimono rental include kimono-dressing service at the Centre.
Sessions at Photo Studios may be arranged and will include our assistance during the photo-shoot. An additional service fee will be charged.
Customers are recommended to have their hair and make-up done before the kimono dressing.

The yukata is a casual version of the kimono. It is a robe usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric, wrapped around the body and fastened with a Hanhaba obi (sash/belt).
Often worn in the summer at festivals and outdoor events.
As a smart casual kimono, the short-sleeved kimono can be worn at parties, events and outings.
Recommended for use in air-conditioned settings and not outdoors!
Casual Komon, Formal Houmongi, Graduation Hakama., Children's Shichigosan and Men's Montsuki, Kimono and Hakama also available.

Furisode is the most formal style of kimono worn by unmarried women in Japan. The furisode is made of very fine, brightly coloured silk and tied with elaborate brocaded Fukuro obi or Maruobi belts.
It is usually only worn for formal events such as weddings, graduations, celebrating Coming of Age Day the year they turn 20 or any formal occasion.

Customers are advised to select and book their own studios for photo-shoots. Please ensure that arrangements are also made for make-up and hair. Our team will be happy to discuss and advise you of your options!
Booking
Select and arrange your studio session and inform us of the date and time.
Hair & Make-up
On the day, have your hair and make-up done first before you get dressed in kimono.
Kimono Dressing
Prepare for the wonderful experience of traditional Japanese costume!
Ready
Once you're ready, it's your time to shine!
Return
At the end of the day, hang up the kimono for its return
